Waste management and recycling centres require very specific and effective security. Not only are they a target for criminals looking to steal valuable materials, they are also a playground for teenagers looking for mischief.
We have many years’ experience protecting our client’s premises from these unwelcome and damaging visitors. More recently, we deterred the same gang twice in one night! Late in the evening, our diligent and specifically trained operators received images of a gang climbing over fences to gain access with the intention of causing theft and criminal damage.
Jumping straight into action, our operators immediately issued an audio warning, alerting the intruders that they were being monitored and that the police were on their way.
Half an hour later, they returned determined again, perhaps foolishly thinking that our response would somehow be different. Immediate audio warnings were driven again within seconds.
This extremely successful deterrent was enough to drive the offenders to leave and abandon plans to attack.
They got the message loud and clear the second time and did not return. They learned that any site under our care is not an easy target.
Without PSM’s intervention, the intruder could have caused devastation for our client. We are proud that they put their trust in our team and this is not a responsibility we take lightly.
