PSM’s CCTV Control Room Security Epitomised
When working day-to-day in the positive, high-energy atmosphere of the PSM CCTV control room, it can be easy to take for granted that you’re operating from within an impenetrable fortress with specially designed defences capable of safeguarding against all manner of outside attacks. After witnessing our control room’s fortifications and efficient operations, a visiting contractor even suggested (without a hint of irony) that our company was affiliated with MI5; and, although our alleged connection to military intelligence is admittedly untrue, there is actually some small sliver of truth to be gleaned from this suggestion.
Kerry, Andy and the PSM team have converted an empty industrial unit and reinforced it with security measures that are indeed equivalent to a secure government facility, meeting all the necessary criteria outlined by the National Security Inspectorate to achieve the highest accreditation possible within the security industry: NSI Gold. This includes the strict construction criteria of BS5979.

The control room itself is tucked under a railway arch protected by 7ft of stone and brick all around us. With our attack resistant heavy-duty security doors, walls strengthened with steel sheeting, air lock entry system, CCTV cameras, motion sensors, internal vibration sensors, gas detection and duress / panic alarms; it paints a picture about how seriously we take security.
Given that our clients’ confidential information is contained within such a vault, they can be certain that their sensitive data is in good hands, and that we apply the same level of security-consciousness to the remote monitoring of their homes and businesses.
