Technology advances, customer expectations evolve and the security industry continues to move forward. Throughout its first decade, PSM has embraced that change while remaining focused on the principles that have guided the company from the beginning: quality, reliability and service.
Today, those standards are reflected through the accreditations, memberships and independent assessments the business maintains, including NSI Gold, Investors in People, Secured by Design and membership of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
For CEO Kerry Jones, maintaining those standards has always been a priority. While the technology, team and customer base have evolved over the years, the values that helped shape PSM from the beginning have remained unchanged.
As PSM celebrates its 10th anniversary, one thing stands out. While the company has grown significantly, its commitment to maintaining high standards has remained consistent.

From the early days, the team at PSM recognised that trust is earned through delivering the same level of professionalism, responsiveness and support every day.
Whether supporting customers, responding to alarms or working alongside installer partners, consistency has always been at the heart of the service PSM delivers.
Over the years, that commitment has helped shape the culture of the business and continues to influence how PSM operates today.
Maintaining high standards requires more than procedures and policies.
Over the years, PSM has continued to invest in the railway arch that houses its monitoring station, implementing multiple layers of physical and electronic security, resilient infrastructure and operational safeguards designed to support a secure 24/7 environment.
From access control systems and monitored security measures to resilient power and operational continuity planning, significant investment has been made to help ensure the monitoring station remains capable of supporting customers whenever it is needed.
While much has changed since 2016, the focus on reliability and resilience has remained constant.
The growth of PSM has always been supported by the people behind it.
Many members of the team have developed their careers alongside the business itself, taking on new responsibilities, developing new skills and helping shape the service customers experience today.
For our Directors, Kerry Jones and Andrew Knox, investing in people is just as important as investing in technology. Supporting employees, developing future leaders and creating opportunities for growth remain an important part of the company’s long-term success.
A strong service starts with a strong team.
Achieving Investors in People Silver in 2021 and progressing to Gold in 2024 reflects the investment PSM continues to make in its people, recognising the role they play in delivering the service customers rely on every day.

Ten years after opening its doors, PSM continues to build on the foundations that helped shape the business in the first place.

“I couldn’t live without PSM’s service. I thought it would be intrusive at first, but it isn’t. When my daughter comes home from school and sets the system once inside, she has a security barrier around her. I know she is safe and protected.”
