From simple beginnings to a fully secure remote CCTV control room facility, read about how and why PSM was created.

OUR
BEGINNING
Our story began in 2015 when the company – where myself and the senior members of our team had worked at for nearly 20 years – ended.
We wanted to create opportunities for our colleagues who were also facing redundancy, because to let their experience and skills go to waste would have been a crime.
PSM was then founded to fulfil what we felt was a gap in the market for exclusive and personal monitoring services.

PSM SECURE INVESTMENT
FROM PRIVATE INVESTOR
Determined to keep our team together and create a company that was simply devoted to service, we undertook market and financial research to help us create our unique and bespoke business plan.
We felt blessed to gain the financial backing and mentoring from someone who not only believed in the concept of PSM but who had also experienced first hand the strength of our team via the service standards previously offered to him as a customer.
PSM had a heartbeat; now it had financial backing.
PSM BUILD HIGH SECURITY FACILITY
After acquiring an empty industrial train arch, we embarked on a mission to transform it into a control room reinforced with security measures equivalent to a secure government facility.
PSM had a home.
A lot of hard work, design and vision was required to renovate the empty industrial train arch into a CCTV control room that would be equipped to serve our customers with secure, high level CCTV monitoring.
We are proud to present our fully refurbished, cutting edge CCTV monitoring station, reinforced with security measures whilst meeting all the necessary criteria outlined by the National Security Inspectorate to achieve the highest accreditation possible within the security industry: NSI Gold. This includes the strict construction criteria of BS5979.
PSM REINVENT
REMOTE MONITORING
To reinvent remote monitoring and provide a totally unique service, we innovated our own software.
Our entire operation – including alarm receiving software – is controlled, created and developed in-house. This allows true bespoke and personal monitoring to our clients seeking something special.
PSM was operational.

PSM ACHIEVE NSI GOLD AWARD & REACH THE FINALS OF BUSINESS AWARDS
Within the first 10 months of starting the business, we achieved the highest accreditation in the security industry – NSI Gold & ISO9001. This included building the control room to the highest secure specification plus writing and developing our own Quality Management System.
The hard work and success of the team was recognised as PSM were finalists in the Enterprise Vision Awards and Wigan Business Awards.
PSM AWARDED
SECURED BY DESIGN
To continue our streak of success, we were the first monitoring company to be awarded Secured By Design accreditation, the only police preferred security supplier initiative.

PSM ACHIEVE INVESTORS IN PEOPLE ACCREDITATION
In 2021, we were awarded Investors in People’s ‘We Invest in People’ (WIIP) accreditation. WIIP award is a testament to our commitment to delivering superior service, and is reflective of our integrity and intention to constantly improve.
We are overjoyed to have passed Investors in People’s rigorous assessment process and to receive their endorsement as a company that excels in our industry.
